Type your cat's name and either paste a link to a toy they've already tried or just type its name, right in the box at the top of this page. You'll rate how your cat reacted to it, and PounceMatch starts building their Purrsonality Profile from there. No account needed to see your first matches.

What does my cat's Purrsonality Profile include?

A radar chart across six traits (Hunter Instinct, Playful Energy, Puzzle Smarts, Social Player, Independent Streak, and Sensory Curiosity), a fun Purrsonality Archetype like "The Stealth Hunter" or "The Diva" based on which traits stand out, a shareable card you can download or send to friends, and personalized toy recommendations with a plain-language explanation of why each one matched.

How does PounceMatch determine my cat's match scores?

Accepted Answer

Every toy you rate feeds a transparent, rules-based scoring system, not a black box. Reactions like "loves it" or "ignored it" add or subtract weighted points from the specific traits that toy has (its movement, texture, sound, and more), and new recommendations are scored against that same trait profile. Every recommendation card has a "Why this matched" breakdown showing exactly which traits drove the match.

How many toys do I need to add before recommendations get accurate?

Accepted Answer

One toy gets you a low-confidence starting point. By two or three toys the pattern starts developing, four to six gets you a strong profile, and seven or more toys builds a highly personalized one. More toys, especially a mix of things your cat loved and ignored, sharpens the match faster than loved toys alone.

Do I need to create an account to use PounceMatch?

No. You can build a full Purrsonality Profile and get recommendations as a guest. Creating a free account lets you save that profile permanently instead of it living only in one browser, get notified when a new toy matches your cat, save specific toys for later, and add profiles for more than one cat.

Not much. Breed is optional information and isn't treated as a major factor. What your cat has actually done, the toys they've loved, ignored, or destroyed, matters far more than breed for predicting what they'll like next.

Accepted Answer

Yes, once you have a free account. Add additional cats from your Account page, and a "Viewing" switcher appears on the homepage so you can jump between each cat's Purrsonality Profile and recommendations. Accounts with more than one cat also unlock a side-by-side radar comparison between them.

How do I know if a toy is safe for my cat?
